Guys and Dolls

West Yorkshire Playhouse
A delightful love story entwined with a sense of moral duty and the tales of the gambling circuit of New York. Set in the 1950s it followed high roller Sky Masterson in his plight to win the heart of Salvation Army Sergeant Sarah Brown. With his opponent Nathan Detroit having similar problems with Adelaide, his long suffering partner of 14 years, the musical was full of comedy and joy throughout. Will Sarah ever curb Sky’s gambling and will Adelaide ever pin down Nathan?
With wonderful songs such as ‘Luck Be a Lady’ and ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat’ this Tony Award winning musical had people smiling all the way through. A true family classic presented by Leeds Amateur Operatic Society as they returned to the Playhouse for their seventh year.
