Fiddler on the Roof

West Yorkshire Playhouse
19 – 27 March 2010

Following the critically acclaimed and popular production of The Producers LAOS returned to the Playhouse to present Fiddler on the Roof from 19 to 27 March 2010. This powerful musical follows the story of a father in his battle to balance his devotion to his religion with his love for his daughters. Caught between the regulations of Tsarist Russia and his loyalty to his homeland and family, Tevye shares his thoughts with the audience in the ever memorable ‘If I were a Rich Man’. Made famous in the film by Topol, it reflects the changes of the era and the strain of being a father.

LAOS Fiddler on the Roof

As one of the longest running musicals on Broadway, this dramatic show is set against a rousing, yet heartwarming score, which includes ‘Tradition’, ‘Matchmaker’ and ‘Sunrise Sunset’, Fiddler On The Roof is a timeless classic with something for everyone. Very few other musicals have so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an electrifying and unforgettable theatrical experience. It was enjoyed by many but don't take our word for it, read the reviews.
