Cast announced for A Touch of West End concert

Cast announced for 'A Touch of West End' in aid of Yorkshire Cancer ResearchOn Sunday 5th May.

A Touch of West End', an evening of spectacular songs from the shows, will be performed by current star of ‘Rock Of Ages', Rohan Tickell; straight off the set of the new ‘Les Misérables' film and original cast member of ‘Mamma Mia', Annette Yeo; star of the recent UK touring production of 'South Pacific', Matthew Cammelle; Stephen John Davis who has just finished performing alongside Tim Minchin in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and we're delighted to have Sorelle Marsh from the West End musical production of 'Legally Blonde'.Joining them will be special guest, West End star and current Phantom on Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, Earl Carpenter.This amazing group of singers will be accompanied by piano and cello played by Amy Shackcloth (Musical Director & Accompanist) and Yvonne Marie Parsons (Principal Cellist). Both these renowned musicians are also involved in the current touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'The Phantom of the Opera'.With a fantastic array of songs from the worlds greatest musicals such as Les Misérables, ThePhantom of the Opera, We Will Rock You, Rock Of Ages, West Side Story and Spamalot, to name but a few, A Touch of West End will wet the whistle of all musical theatre lovers and give you the opportunity to meet some of the best musical theatre performers the UK has to offer.

We will still be perfoming both shows today at Leeds Grand Theatre at 2.15pm and 7.15pm despite the weather. Anyone travelling to the show please take extra care and allow time for safe travelling. The main roads in Leeds City Centre are ok, side roads are passable with care. The performance will soon warm you up - see you there.

Error in LAOS Mailing

It has come to our attention that there was a computer error affecting some of the address details on our mailing for Sound of Music. This meant that although the mailing went to the correct addresses some were addressed to incorrect names. Only a small part of the mailing was affected and LAOS apologise for any inconvenience caused during this error. We can assure people that steps will be taken to make sure this does not occur again.

For anyone seated in the balcony areas the very final scene upon the mountain is unfortunately obscured dur to the incline of the theatre. We apologise for this and can assure you it will not spoil your performance and that is only for a short 30 seconds.

A Touch of West End comes to Leeds

A touch of West End is being held to celebrate the 25th commemorative anniversary of Derek Lee – Man of Music Remembered, with all proceeds from the night going to Yorkshire Cancer Research (Reg. Charity 516898). Derek was a previous member of LAOS and so we wanted to let you all know about this event and hope you may support it.

A touch of West End - From the Producers of THREE PHANTOMS comes an evening of equally fantastic ‘musical mayhem’. Five top voices from West End musicals, accompanied by Piano and Cello take you on a whistle stop tour of some of the World's greatest musicals. Joining this special event will be West End regular and star of the current Cameron Mackintosh spectacular touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 'The Phantom of the Opera', Earl Carpenter.
